I created the Lumiére concept for a studio class where we were chanllenged to use an LED or a Fan in a unconventional way to create a new product. The Lumiére is a bedside lamp that doubles as a handy flashlight for emergencies or for more casual situations like when you have to make a late night trip to the bathroom.
The aesthetic of Luminére are designed to influence the user to treat it as a centre piece. This give it have a high chance of having an visible location in a room. This means that in times of emergency it will be easy to spot.
